ENTAMOTY MEDIA SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS A 3 DAY YT CREATORS FESTIVAL
Ghana saw the largest gathering of digital content creators at the first ever Zeepay YT Creators festival last weekend. This initiative by Entamoty media ltd in partnership with ICS Africa was one of the highly anticipated events in the month of November as well as the Governments’ official ‘Beyond the return’ event being forecasted. Africa’s biggest creator, Mark Angel, Ghana’s leading YouTuber Wode Maya, Kenya’s Miss Trudy, CEO of Menta Music, Yonny Friedman and the French Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Anne Sophie Avé were some of the special guests of the festival.

The 3-day (26 – 28 November) creators festival began with a tour for creators and influencers. Before the tour started there was a special meet and greet session amongst creators, the media, and Mark Angel. The Accra City tour with creators was a fun filled and an exciting road safari expedition with the Ghana Tourism newly launched double decker buses for experiencing Ghana. Creators were driven through Ako Adjei Interchange, Ring Road Central, Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, Accra Digital Center, Boxing Emporium, James Town, Light house, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Independence Square and ended at ATIC. Since the bus was filled with content creators, all you could see is selfie sticks, tripods, cameras, and smart phones in the air just for them to catch a glimpse of the amazing sceneries in Accra Ghana.

The second day which was regarded as the main day of the festival, took place at Zeepay head office in cantonment from 9am to 5pm. The activities scheduled included keynote presentations, one on ones, panel discussion sessions, master class, brainstorming and virtual reality experience. Despite being a full day’s summit, the Saturday event was engaging, informative yet devoid of boredom; at one point some participants didn’t want it to end. The master class was the most insightful session as both creators and potential content creators were able to undergo practical class to learn subjects like YouTube content monetization, Seo and algorithm growth and basic video editing techniques. The class was led by Rick Aqua, Mordin Bi Taiwan and Cyber Reviews. Mark Angel and Wode Maya had one on one to share their success stories and inspired fellow creators about the art of content creation. Other Speakers included CEO of Zeepay Andrew Takyi Appiah, CEO of Menta Music, Yonny Friedman, Media personality Jessica Osei – Saforo, Nadia Modoc, Steven Blessing Ackah and the French Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Anne Sophie Avé. Other Speakers who took on the panel discussion included MzGee, George Britton, Kwadwo Sheldon, Ivy Prosper and Lakeisha Ford. The summit ended with an exclusive influential party hosted by Zeepay Ghana.

The creators Awards and concert at Accra City Hotel on Sunday 28th November climaxed the whole Zeepay YT Creators festival. It was a night of glamour, fashion, and excellence. Creators turned up in their afrocentric costumes looking all elegant and alluring for the night. Some of the content creators who took home a golden plaque included Jessica Opare – Saforo who won YT Creator of the Year, Ivy Prosper as Travel Creator, Mark Angel and Wode Maya winning the Zeepay YT African Influencer of the year and the YT Diaspora Creator of the year respectively. The event is an Entamoty Media Initiative in partnership with ICS Africa Limited and support from Zeepay Ghana.
According to the Creative Director of the Zeepay YT Creators Festival, Barimah Amoaning Samuel, the team’s goal is to establish a hub of content creators in Ghana where young people who wish to pursue digital content creation will be trained and equipped with skills and given incentives like cameras, laptops, smart phones, and MiFis to assist in their everyday creation. He appealed to both individuals and private organizations who wish to support this project to reach out to Entamoty Media, because he believes that equipping young people with digital skills is one of the ways of reducing the unemployment rates amongst the youth in Africa. Other notable partners include Mentamusic, Avance Media, Accra city hotel, Africa World Airlines, Beyond the Return, Blogging Ghana, Ghana Gold Expo, Twellium Ghana, Edward Asare, Oasis Magazine Africa, Wiflix Ghana, Music Africa, pulse Ghana, WatsUp Tv, Digital Times Africa, Ghana.

He Started a Blog to Promote Entrepreneurship in Ghana , This is the story of Charles Wundengba
Entrepreneurship blogging is a niche many bloggers do not fancy but for Charles Wundengba, it is a passion to be pursued. Charles is a teacher, blogger, and digital marketer.
Charles blogs mostly on entrepreneurship but has other blogs for health, agriculture, and general news. In 2018, he was nominated for the Ghana 40under40 awards and also named among the Top 50 Bloggers in Ghana by Avance Media in 2018, 2020, and 2021.

He also promotes tech education in Ghana using the local Twi language on YouTube. In July 2020, Charles was named among the 100 Most Influential Personalities from Northern Ghana.
Charles Wundengba is the Founder and CEO of Wundef Media which comprises a list of blogs and provides PR services for brands.Wundef.com, Northernghana.net, Healthinfogh.com, Sindefeated.com, Agriceducation.com and Obuasitoday.com are all blogs under the Wundef Media.
In 2020, Charles Wundengba was featured in the August Edition of Kwik Advertizer Magazine.
He launched Wundef.com in 2017 to promote entrepreneurship and tell the stories of young entrepreneurs.

Early Life
Charles Wundengba was born in Bunn, a suburb of Tongo in the Talensi District in the Upper East region of Ghana. His father was working in Obuasi so Charles joined his dad in Obuasi at age four. His dad lost his job a few months afterward.
Schools
In 1992, Charles started schooling at the Obuasi PresbyPrimary school where he continued to complete junior high school in the same school in 2001. He went on to TweneboahKodua Senior High school in Kumawu to study Science.
He then furthered on to the Wesley College of Education in Kumasi to be trained as a teacher. He became a graduate teacher after completing the University of Education, Winneba in 2012.
Charles has a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from the University of Education, Winneba and currently studying for his MPhil in Strategic Communication at the same university.
Going into Blogging
In 2015, when visiting one mining community in the Ashanti region as part of a World Bank research on the impact of mining on mining communities, Charles met a group of young men who refused to talk about their issues with the Mining Company in their community because they believed it wouldn’t go anywhere. They explained that a lot of people have been there to listen to their stories but nothing good came out of it. They were fed up and they believed they just had to cope with the situation. Right there, Charles made up his mind to amplify the voices of the weak.
“When young people feel no one cares about them, they take the law into their own hands and the outcome could affect many lives,” he said.
.
Later that year, he started Obuasitoday.com to deal specifically with news related to the Obuasi community and amplify the voices of the people there. Obuasitoday.com has become the most reliable online news portal for everything about Obuasi. Prior to starting Obuasitoday.com, Charles Wundengba had started Northerngh.com (now Northernghana.net) in March of the same year to promote and educate people on the history and culture of the Northern regions.
“There were so many misconceptions of people from Northern Ghana. Some people thought the north is always violent because of the news they always hear and see from the media. I wanted to change that narrative” he explained.

In 2016, Charles felt updates on his websites weren’t going as expected since he had to always call his web developers and lodge a complaint before his websites were updated. So he decided to learn website development. By June 2016, after a few months of watching tutorials on website development on YouTube and support from a friend, he had developed a Christian website called Sindefeated.com. Sindefeated.com’smain purpose is to promote Christian events, doctrines, and news. Two months afterward, he added an online radio to the Christian website, Sindefeated Radio. The radio was listed on TuneIn in August 2017 and in the same year nominated for the award of Best Christian Online Radio at the Shine Awards Ghana 2017.
Through Sindefeated.com, Charles organized Praizfest, a Christian event that successfully took place in Obuasi in 2017 and 2018 and then in Bolgatanga in 2019 in partnership with Minister Edwina in Bolgatanga.
In early 2017, Charles started Wundengba.com which sought to inspire young people to go into entrepreneurship. After partaking in the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) in Lagos, Nigeria (2017), where he met over 100 other young entrepreneurs and leaders from other West African countries, Charles Wundengba realized a lot of young people were changing the world in their own small ways but no one knew about them and the impact they were making. He then decided to promote the works of people who are causing a change in their own small ways. Wundengba.com was changed to Wundef.com the same year.. Wundef.com provides leadership, inspirational, financial articles and also profiles of entrepreneurs and inspirational leaders. Charles Wundengba has interviewed and profiled almost 100 young entrepreneurs across Africa. Other profiles were submitted by other writers in various African countries.
In November 2018, he organized the first Young Entrepreneurs Conference in Obuasi. In the same month Healthinfogh.com, a health-related website was also released by him. Since 2015, Charles Wundengba has been volunteering for the 350 Ghana Reducing Our Carbon (350 GROC) as their Digital Team Leader.

Career
Charles is a teacher by profession. Aside blogging, he is also part of the Aseda FM Morning Show Team since August, 2020.
Charles Wundengba got married in January, 2022 to Elizabeth Serwaah Wundengba.

AOSA to strengthen Africa’s food security through Organic Standards
AOSA to strengthen Africa’s food security through Organic Standards
The Africa Organic Standards Association (AOSA) has reiterated its commitment to promoting food security in Africa using crop biotechnology advances in the development of new standards for Africa’s growing organic industry.
In a communiqué to the press from AOSA’s headquarters in Zimbabwe, the association decried the lack of a proper networking structure between Africa’s research experts in developing home grown standards that will guarantee the future of Africa’s food security.

“As Africa’s population keeps growing, there is the need to adopt science and technology to sustain the growing demand for nutritious food. AOSA is therefore calling on all agroecologists, crop and soil researchers, scientists and value chain experts across Africa to combine their efforts to move Africa from over dependent on food imports to sustainable food supply in Africa.” Part of the statement read.
AOSA is an international organization registered under the International Federation for Organic Movements (IFOAM) with its headquarters in Zimbabwe, and regional branches in over twenty African countries. The main objective of the organization is the development and coordination of organic and sustainablestandards for Africa’s growing organic industry.
In an Interview with Mr. Charles Ziwa; lead agroecologyconsultant for AOSA, he revealed plans by AOSA to delve into areas of research that are underdeveloped in Africa thus helpingfarmers on the continent to increase their yield while producing nutritious and organic foods.
“As Farmers, we strive to grow delicious, nutritious, pest-free produce. We buy the right fertilizers and pesticides, measure pH and PPMs, prune, stake and monitor our environment. Even withall this effort, there is one measurement that many overlook; the brix. Increasing this one measurement will improve the flavor, nutrition and shelf- life of your produce. It will also keep pests at bay.
Low brix values mean poor nutrition, which leads to pests’attacks. Pests are nature’s clean-up crew. They ensure natural selection in plants. Only the strong survive. Plants with a brix value over 12 per cent are much less likely to have pest issues, if they have them at all. It’s only when a plant is weak and sick that bugs attack to clean up the mess. When a plant has deficiencies, simple sugars and incomplete proteins leak out to the surface of the leaves and stems, drawing the bugs in for lunch. Brix (symbol °Bx) is essentially a measurement of the sugar content, vitamins, minerals, proteins and other solid content in the sap of a plant, expressed as a percentage.
This is an example of some of the research and training that AOSA is ready to provide for farmers across Africa to increase food safety and security; Farmers are not even aware that simply rebalancing our soils and increasing microbial activity will help to improve brix levels in plants. That is what AOSA is here for”, he revealed.
The country director for AOSA Ghana and lead organic value chain expert for AOSA, Mr. Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin also disclosed plans by AOSA to develop working value chains to meet Africa’s growing organic food export demand.
“The value chain concept in organic farming is becoming an important component of the development of proper organic standards for the African organic food industry. A properly researched and implemented value chain will help in implementing and improving agroecological farming practices for developing and strengthening robust and resilient farming systems that maintain soil fertility and are adaptive to climate change. This will in turn help to grow the African organic food industry.
Farmers and processors in Africa will be trained on adaptive organic value chains that have been developed for the African terrain and systems by the team of experts at the Africa Organic Standards Association”, he disclosed.
AOSA has experts in food safety, organic value chain, microbiology, permaculture, agroecology, organic inspection, climatology and a range of modern-day expertise to assist farmers and consumers across Africa.

5 ONLINE SHOPPING SAFETY TIPS – COUPONS GH
FIVE ONLINE SHOPPING SAFETY TIPS – COUPONS GH
Today online shopping is a lot safer than it used to be. Retailers are using top-level encryption standards to protect consumers’ personal information, and lenders are providing consumers with credit card safety features like the ability to verify a suspicious purchase or freeze a compromised credit card; Ghana is not left behind with a rapidly growing digital economy in the sub Saharan, a lot more small scale businesses are moving online.
That said, there are still a lot of scams, threats and disreputable websites out there—which means that you still need to be aware of how to shop online safely. After weeks of research Coupons Ghana has found five online shopping safety tips to help you before you make your next online purchase.
5 online shopping safety tips.
Coupons Ghana is your number one discount website in Ghana with the biggest selection of the hottest deals at your favorite shops, restaurants, hotels, gymsandotherplaces. You can sign up today at coupons.com.gh as a consumer or shop owner now !
- Shop with major retailers One of the best ways to shop online safely is to stick to major retailers. Companies like Amazon, Target and Walmart have the infrastructure in place to ensure that your transactions are as secure as possible. Not to mention return policies, price matching programs and other benefits that can help you get the most out of your purchases.
Shopping directly with a major retailer is also a good way to avoid the kinds of online scams and too-good-to-be- true deals that regularly pop up on third-party seller sites. When you buy clothing at Old Navy or outdoor gear at REI, what you see is what you get— and if you end up not liking what you get, you can send it back and try again. Yes,majorretailersoccasionallyget hacked—but when a corporation experiences an unexpected data breach, it quickly does the work to protect, reassure and (in some cases) reimburse consumers. Whether you’re shopping for groceries, laptops or home goods, picking a major retailer like Walgreens, Best Buy or Home Depot is one of the best ways to keep your online transactions secure. - Avoid making purchases on public Wi-Fi
Only shop from a secure, private Wi-Fi connection. If you use an unencrypted, public Wi-Fi hot spot, other people might be able to observe your online transactions.
Make sure you only make online purchases on a private, password- protected Wi-Fi network. And if you can’t access your home Wi-Fi network (or are online shopping while you’re out and about), use your phone’s data plan instead of connecting to public Wi-Fi. - Use a password manager
A password manager can help you create, store and retrieve secure passwords for every online shopping account you create. In fact, when Bankrate asked four cybersecurity experts how to protect your banking and financial accounts from hackers, using a top password manager software program was one of the key pieces of advice.
If you don’t have a password manager in place, you can still practice good password security by choosing strong, unique passwords for each of your online accounts. Whether you’re shopping, banking or streaming media, a secure password is essential. The best passwords combine upper and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. - Use a virtual wallet
Consider setting up a virtual wallet. When you use a digital wallet to make online payments, your credit card data is both encrypted and tokenized. This means that no actual credit card numbers are shared during the online transaction.
Using a virtual wallet to make online purchases is generally more secure than typing your credit card number into a checkout form. In most cases, it also makes online transactions easier and faster. That’s a win-win. - Set up mobile alerts
Set up mobile credit card alerts to help you track your purchases and keep an eye out for potential fraud. While most credit card issuers will automatically notify you when a purchase appears fraudulent, mobile alerts provide an extra layer of protection by allowing you to monitor your credit card transactionsinrealtime.Youcanset up alerts to let you know every time a purchase is made on your card, for example, or every time a purchase is made over a certain dollar amount. (Youcanalsorequesttoreceive mobile alerts when credit card bills are due or when credit card payments have cleared—which is a good way to keep track of payments and boost your credit score.)
While it’s still a good idea to check your monthly credit card statements for unfamiliar transactions, mobile alerts can give you instant updates whenever there is new activity on your credit card accounts. This makes it much easier to flag anything that looks unusual or unexpected.
